Heaven Spots
For this zine, I revised and old zine that I had made . The topic that I choose to make my zine about was graffiti. I made a very informational zine that goes over the history of graffiti, the different styles and techniques. the terminology, famous artists and musems, and why people do graffiti in the first place.
I choose to do the zine about graffiti because it is something that I truly enjoy and I think the graffiti culture is really interesting to learn about.
When it came to designing the pages, I made each section of the zine different coloed pages. I felt like the zine should be very colorful to go with the subject matter. I also added little graffiti arrow designs to the pages just to add a little decorative element.
Blood Gore and More!
For this zine I decided to make the topic of practical effects in horror movies. Just like the other zine, this one was an informational zine. The zine goes over the history of practical effects, famous effects artists, famous examples, modern movies that use practical effects, and the debate of digital vs practical effects.
To add a decorative effect like the other zine I added bloodsplatters behind the pictures and information of the pages.
